I am a Behavior Analyst in British Columbia, also a Category A Registered Autism Service Provider (RASP).
I have worked within the autism community for over 8 years in a variety of positions. Recently, my private practice has shifted to specializing in sleep for children, teens and adults within the neurodivergent community. The support I provide to families is focused on empowering parents and professionals in collaborating and implementing practical solutions to help improve overall quality of life.
I know from personal experience with sleep challenges how lack of sleep impacts overall mental and physical health individually as well as as a family. I feel I am able to empathize and support others to sleep better.
I work collaboratively with families, children and teens emphasizing relationship and values driven goals.
I am a mom of two boys, partner and Behavior Analyst, also a Registered Autism Service Provider (RASP) in B.C. (Category A). I have served on the BC-ABA board for two terms, working with colleagues to disseminate applied behavior analysis.
I have spent 20 years of my working career in some kind of position related to supporting the neurodivergent community, in schools or home or clinical settings. I have found my passions, one is specializing in sleep. I know from experience how invaluable the gift of sleep is, it brings me joy to help families sleep again. I also enjoy supporting new practitioners find their own niche, learning more about Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT) has been a game changer in supporting interns through their journeys. I continue to provide early intervention, incorporating my training in Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) into my practice as well.
While I have been practicing as a behavior analyst for over 10 years and gained experience in many roles, I feel the bulk of my learning has occurred in the last 6 years. I am practicing more in line with my values as a parent, and clinician, while learning more about how I can serve compassionately, humbly, and with integrity.
